Warrior Softball Academy is a nationally recognized fast-pitch softball program based in Northern California. The academy focuses on developing young female athletes both on and off the field, emphasizing character, leadership, discipline, and high-level competitiveness. With a dedicated training facility, experienced coaches, and advanced training tools, they offer instruction for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to elite travel-ball players. The program competes at top national events, has earned multiple championships, and supports athletes through the college-recruiting process, making it a comprehensive development pathway for serious softball players.
Owner Ray McDonald explains how the training facility integrates HitTrax into its programs and highlights the significant benefits the system brings to both player development and the overall business.
“Over the past year, HitTrax has completely changed the way our players train and improve. One of the biggest benefits has been the ability to set clear, specific goals and receive instant feedback after every swing. When players can see real data—exit velocity, launch angle, distance, and more—they become more motivated to show up, put in extra reps, and focus on the goals they set for themselves. That renewed sense of purpose has led to noticeable improvement, and the girls are progressing faster than ever.
HitTrax has also become a part of each player’s daily routine in the cage. Every athlete uses it a little differently: some dive into training games designed to hit line drives at certain launch angles, while others prefer simply monitoring their live batting-practice stats. During indoor team practices, we turn the system into a fully competitive environment by playing simulated games, which always brings out a high level of energy and engagement.

This technology has made our cage sessions far more intentional and productive. The situational hitting challenges and competitive drills teach players how to have quality at-bats and swing with purpose. As a result, it has become much easier for our athletes to translate what they do in practice into actual game performance.
One of the biggest advantages of using HitTrax is the clarity it provides in real time. In a traditional cage setting, it’s not always easy to tell how well a ball is actually hit. With HitTrax, hitters no longer have to guess—they get all the information they need immediately, allowing them to make small but important adjustments on the spot. It also adds an element of fun and reward, especially when players hit new personal bests in exit velocity or distance.
